Update Your Information: If you need to update your professional (office) contact information, please do so by filling out the form below. The information in the form below is used for your CSPS “Find a Surgeon” listing and for communication with you by postal mail.
Donation Opportunities: In addition to your membership, CSPS offers several ways to contribute:
- Educational Foundation of CSPS – The Educational Foundation of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons was created in 1982. The purpose of the Foundation is to support the Society’s members in their educational and research endeavors with a view to contributing to the excellence of Canadian healthcare.
- A. Ross Tilly Foundation – Dr. A. Ross Tilley Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Foundation was founded in 1989 to honor the great Canadian plastic surgeon, Dr. A. Ross Tilley. The foundation awards an annual scholarship to a graduating Canadian plastic surgeon who plans fellowship training in plastic surgery.
- Planetary Health Fund – In addition to the option of making a voluntary donation to the Educational Foundation of the CSPS or the A. Ross Tilly Foundation, the CSPS now offers an additional donation opportunity for the Planetary Health Fund. This fund will be used to support an annual award for the best original project with the most impact on the environment (decreased greenhouse gas emissions, waste reduction or waste diversion), the largest potential for scale and spread and the greatest chance for sustainability.
Senior Membership Clarification: We wish to clarify the eligibility criteria for Senior Membership status. According to our bylaws, Senior Membership is applicable only to those who have reached the age of 65 and who are no longer engaged in the practice of plastic surgery. If you are currently classified as a Senior Member but still actively practicing, please notify us and we will update your status to Active Membership, which requires full dues. We kindly ask that you consider making a voluntary donation to the society in lieu of past dues if you have continued to practice under Senior Membership status.
2024 Bylaws on Senior Membership: These shall be Active Members who, on attaining their 65th birthday, may apply in writing to transfer to this category. They may no longer be engaged in the practice of Plastic Surgery in Canada. They shall retain a vote but may not hold office. They will not pay annual dues but will pay convention subscription on attendance. Sick or disabled members may also apply for transfer to this category.
If you have any questions or need assistance with your renewal or membership status, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for your continued commitment to CSPS.
Sincerely,
Nick Carr
CSPS President
