Dr. Patricia Egerszegi

Patricia Egerszegi is a pediatric plastic surgeon working at Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal. She completed her training at McGill University, including a Microsurgery fellowship, followed by a Craniofacial Surgery and a Hand & Pediatric Plastic Surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

At Sainte-Justine Hospital, she is Director of the Congenital and Pediatric Hand Surgery and member of the Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic Team. She had also served as Director of the Burn Team for 10 years and the Brachial Plexus Team for 13 years.

She is a Clinical Professor at the Université de Montréal where she was Surgical Foundations Program Director for 8 years. In addition to participating in many hospital, university, provincial and national committees, she was an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Collège des Médecins du Québec. She also sat on the Educational Foundation Committee of the CSPS, concluding as it’s President, and on the Board of Directors of About Face Canada.

She has authored several articles, book chapters, and booklets as well as developed two Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Her research interests include congenital and pediatric hand surgery as well as medical education.


Dr. David Fisher

Dr. Fisher attended Queen's University and obtained a BSc in Life Sciences. He received his Medical Degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin, in 1990. He completed Residencies in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He received American Board Accreditations in General Surgery (1997) and Plastic Surgery (2001). He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeon of Canada in 1998. He undertook Craniofacial Fellowship training in Paris with Dr. Daniel Marchac, in Taiwan with Dr. Samuel Noordhoff and Dr. Yu-Ray Chen, and in Toronto at The Hospital for Sick Children. He joined the staff of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in 2000 & was Medical Director of the Cleft Lip and Palate Program until 2024. Dr. Fisher is the current Vice-President Elect of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a Past President of the International Society for Auricular Reconstruction. He completed a BFA at York University & an MFA at OCAD University. His practice is entirely paediatric with a focus in Cleft Lip and Palate and Ear Reconstruction. He is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, American Board of Surgery, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Operation Smile.


Dr. Danny Peters

Dr. Danny Peters, a craniofacial surgeon and division head at the University of Ottawa. He has been a program director, administrator and academic plastic surgeon. He is a respected voice on financial literacy within the surgical community and his interests are in the intersection of finance, business and surgery.

He is recognized for authoring numerous editorials in the Plastic Surgery journal focused on the economics of surgical practice, personal finance, and career sustainability for surgeons.

Dr. Peters is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa. His practice is split between pediatric and adult craniofacial surgery


Dr. Céline Roberge

Dr. Céline Roberge is a plastic surgeon specializing in microsurgery, hand surgery, and oncologic reconstruction. She obtained her medical degree from Université Laval in 1993, completed her plastic surgery training at Université de Montréal in 1998, and pursued advanced fellowship training at Harvard University in 1999.

Based at Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, she has played a key role in developing complex reconstructive oncology services through multidisciplinary collaboration. An Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, she is actively involved in resident education and mentorship.

Dr. Roberge has also contributed extensively to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as an examiner and former Vice-Chair of the Plastic Surgery Examination Committee. She is recognized for her leadership, dedication to education, and commitment to patient care.


Dr. Nick Carr

Nick obtained a BSc in medical genetics from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He then taught school in Nigeria for 2 years before returning to medical school at UBC. He was the Gold Medalist in his graduating medical school class. He interned at the Toronto East General Hospital and then worked as a family doctor in Inuvik in the Canadian Arctic. He returned to Vancouver completing his plastic surgery training at UBC in 1990 followed by a hand and microsurgery fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Nick is a Clinical Professor in Surgery at UBC and has been on staff at Vancouver General Hospital since 1990. He served as residency program director and was chief of plastic surgery at UBC for over a decade. He is an active member in the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the NorthWest Society of Plastic Surgeons and has been president of all these organizations. He has also been an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, having been the Canadian representative on the ASAPS and ASPS Ethics Committees. He has successfully run Skinworks Surgery Centre, a private aesthetic surgery facility in Vancouver for over two decades.

As head of the UBC Division of Plastic Surgery Nick was instrumental in fund raising and establishing the BC Firefighters Burn and Wound Healing Laboratory and the Patty Clugston Endowed Chair in Breast Reconstruction.

Nick has been actively involved in UBC plastic surgery’s Uganda residency teaching program and has worked there regularly. His hobbies include skiing, biking, fly fishing, and guitar. Nick spends his weekends on his partner Linda’s farm on Galiano Island, where they keep their horses. He has three children, Matthew, Michael, and Lauren. Matthew and Michael are plastic surgeons and Lauren is an ophthalmologist all practicing in Vancouver.


Dr. Geoff Cook

Dr. Geoff Cook is an Assistant Professor and Section Head of Plastic Surgery at the Saint John campus of Dalhousie University.

Dr. Cook received his MD from Dalhousie University and then went on to plastic surgery residency at the University of Alberta. He completed a fellowship in hand and upper limb surgery at the Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre at Western University.  Dr. Cook joined the staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital in 2005 where his practice focuses on hand and wrist surgery. He has held several roles at Dalhousie's Saint John campus, including undergraduate and post-graduate education coordinator,  a member of the Trauma Committee and OR Utilization Committee, and has been Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery since 2015. He was the provincial Plastic surgery representative at the New Brunswick Medical Society for 10 years, and sat on the economic negotiating team following that.  His research interests are in upper extremity nerve and arthritic conditions, and health care systems reform. He has published and lectured nationally on hand and wrist surgery, health system efficiency improvement and medical humanities.


Dr. Tracey Thompson

Dr. Tracey Thompson is a board-certified plastic surgeon in private practice in Gatineau, Quebec, where she is co-founder of Incognito MediSpa, a multidisciplinary aesthetic medicine and surgery centre serving the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

Dr. Thompson completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at Queen's University, in Kingston, Ontario, followed by a rotating internship at Memorial University of Newfoundland, in St. John’s.  She pursued postgraduate surgical training with two years of General Surgery at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, before transferring to Plastic Surgery at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.  Dr. Thompson subsequently completed subspecialty fellowship training in Craniofacial Surgery and Hand Surgery at the University of Toronto. She has held the designation of Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery (FRCSC) since 1996, and holds the Certificate of Specialization in Plastic Surgery of the Collège des médecins du Québec (CSPQ) since 1998.

Dr. Thompson's clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of aesthetic plastic surgery of the face, breast, and body, as well as non-surgical cosmetic treatments. Dr. Thompson serves as Public Relations Chair of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons.


Dr. Jugpal Arneja

Jugpal is a Plastic Surgeon in Vancouver and Clinical Professor in UBC's Department of Surgery as well as a Senior Associate Member of the Sauder School of Business. He has sat on the Board of Governors at the University of Manitoba and currently is a Councilor at the Canadian Medical Protective Association. He has previously volunteered his time as Editor-In-Chief of the Journal "Plastic Surgery" and with Smile Train in the developing world.


Dr. Aaron Grant

Dr. Aaron Grant graduated from medical school at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He completed his plastic surgery residency at Western University followed by a microsurgical fellowship in Winnipeg and plastic surgery oncology fellowship in Calgary. He worked with the Division of Plastic Surgery at Western University as an associate professor for 11 years and recently moved back home to practice community plastic surgery in St. John's Newfoundland.


Dr. Jennifer Giuffre

Dr. Giuffre completed her Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Manitoba, followed by a fellowship in upper extremity, hand, wrist, and peripheral nerve surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She returned to Winnipeg in 2010 to establish a practice focused on complex hand and wrist conditions, upper extremity reconstruction, brachial plexus injuries, and peripheral nerve disorders.

Dr. Giuffre serves as Section Head and Regional Head of Plastic Surgery at the University of Manitoba and is the Section’s Research Director. She is actively involved in surgical education and standards committees and serves as an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery. A dedicated researcher and educator, Dr. Giuffre has presented nationally and internationally, authored multiple book chapters, and published more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles.


Dr. Scott Williamson

Dr. Williamson grew up in southern New Brunswick and attained an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering/Biology from the University of New Brunswick (1985), followed by a Doctor of Medicine from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario (1989). He undertook a Rotating Internship at the Rockyview General Hospital (University of Calgary) in Calgary, Alberta, and then residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia (1990 – 1995). He subsequently did fellowships in Microvascular Surgery at the University of Toronto, and Hand and Wrist Surgery at the University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario).

In 1997 he began practice in Kelowna, British Columbia, providing a broad spectrum of plastic surgery service with a focus on Hand/Wrist and Reconstructive Microsurgery.

Dr Williamson is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American College of Surgeons, and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. He is an Assistant Professor of the University of British Columbia Division of Plastic Surgery and is the Director for the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Fellowship – UBC Kelowna. He is a past director of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Past President of the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Dominique Tremblay

Dr Dominique Tremblay is a plastic surgeon with a sub-specialty in hand surgery at Maisonneuve Rosemont Hospital and Santa Cabrini Hospital (CIUSSS Est de l'Île de Montréal) in Montreal.

Dr Tremblay obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from McGill University and went on to obtain her Doctorate in Medicine with specialization in Plastic Surgery at Université de Montréal, Québec. Dr Tremblay completed her Fellowship in the Department of Hand Surgery & Peripheral Nerve Surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

Her practice is mainly hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery including tetraplegia and spasticity as well as treating skin cancer and performing sarcoma reconstruction. She also is a member of the replantation team at the CHUM (CEVARMU). She has developed with her colleague, Dr Boghossian, the interdisciplinary clinic TetraMain Montreal.

She is the past Program Director of the Plastic Surgery Training Program at the University of Montreal (2015-2022) and now Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Montreal. She is also the chief of service of plastic surgery within her institution and was newly appointed as Chief of the Surgery Department in her institution.

She is currently vice-president of the CSSH and CSPS Educational Foundation and is a board member of the CSPS (Membership Committee).

She is also the mother of three (18-14-12 years old) which she had as a resident (PGY 1, 4 and 5) who are active teenagers playing sports and involved in other extra-curricular activities.


Dr. Sheina Macadam

Dr. Macadam obtained her medical degree from the University of British Columbia and completed advanced fellowship training in microsurgery and breast reconstruction. She also holds a Master of Science degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in clinical research, surgical education, and innovation, authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and presenting extensively at national and international meetings. Dr. Macadam is committed to advancing the specialty of Plastic Surgery through education, mentorship, and evidence-based contributions. Her current interests include breast reconstruction, aesthetic breast surgery, body contouring, patient education initiatives, and the integration of digital health tools to improve the patient experience.

Dr. Michael Bezuhly

Dr. Michael Bezuhly is a Professor in the Departments of Surgery and Microbiology and Immunology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. He completed his residency training in Plastic Surgery and the Clinician-Investigator Program at Dalhousie University, receiving a Masters in Anatomy and Neurobiology from Dalhousie and a Masters of Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Bezuhly completed additional subspecialty training in paediatric plastic surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and in craniofacial surgery at the Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades in Paris. He is the Director of the Craniofacial Program at the IWK Health Centre. Additionally, he is the Research Director of the Department of Surgery, and is the former President of the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation. He is the author of over 110 peer-reviewed publications, has held multiple Tri-Council grants, and has supervised undergraduate, medical and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. He is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate Association, and the International Society for Craniofacial Surgery. He is the current Editor-in-Chief of Plastic Surgery (Chirurgie Plastique) and serves as the Board Chair of Operation Smile Canada. In addition to his clinical research into craniofacial and cleft palate outcomes, his basic research lab focuses on repurposing existing drugs to reduce fibrosis and optimize autologous fat graft take. To the consternation of his wife and children, his favourite ice cream flavour is Grape-Nut, because who would want to eat vanilla ice cream with fibre pellets in it? For better or worse (mostly worse), he remains a loyal Tottenham Hotspur supporter.


Kirsty Boyd

Kirsty Usher Boyd completed medical school at Queen’s University in 2004 and Plastic Surgery Residency at Western University in 2009. She then went on to do fellowship training in Microsurgery at the University of Ottawa, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery at the University of Toronto, and Hand/Microsurgery/Peripheral Nerve at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kirsty started on staff at the Ottawa Hospital in 2011 and is an associate professor at the University of Ottawa. She is the Co-Founder of the Peripheral Nerve Trauma Clinic. Her clinical practice is split between complex nerve reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. She is the former Undergraduate Director and Program Director of the Plastic Surgery Training Program.

She has been the President of the Young Plastic Surgeons, President of the Group for the Advancement of Microsurgery and has served on the board of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. She is currently on the Program Committee of the American Society of Peripheral Nerve and the Educational Foundation Board of the CSPS . Her research focuses primarily on peripheral nerve.
