Clinical or Outcomes Research Grant

The Educational Foundation of the CSPS provides an annual $10,000.00 Clinical Research Endowment Grant to:
- provide seed funding to stimulate clinically applied research in all areas of plastic surgery,
- support our membership in performing clinical outcomes research that will have important implications for health care policy affecting our specialty,
- specifically encourage the involvement of community-based plastic surgeons in such research,
- address outcomes of our patients to further improve quality of care and standardize our clinical practice guideline.
Eligibility:
- A CSPS member in an academic center in the first five years of practice;
- A CSPS member at any time in a community practice;
- A Resident/Fellow in a Canadian Plastic Surgery training program (with the sponsorship of an active CSPS Member).
When to Submit a Request
Outcome/Clinical Study Research Grant applications must be received by April 1st, 11:59 pm of each year.

Email: Forward the completed application along with 1 copy of your current curriculum vitae (condensed to 3 or less pages) to admin@plasticsurgery.ca.
Application Review
Requests will be reviewed by the Educational Foundation Board and the grant recipient will be announced at the CSPS Annual Scientific Meeting.
Payment Requirements
The amount of the funding is $10,000.00 paid directly to the applicant. When requesting payment, please include the banking information required to process an e-transfer.
Reporting Requirements
Recipients will be required to provide a brief annual project progress update (including a paragraph and status of the budget/funds spent) to be received by the first of April of each year in time for the Educational Foundation’s Annual Board Meeting.
