Volunteer Surgery in Developing Countries

CSPS members provide charitable service, to developing countries and in so doing encourage good relations between these countries and Canada.

Over the years, more than 80 CSPS members have performed voluntary reconstructive services with Canadian residents and nurses from over 40 organizations in more than 60 countries.

One such organization is Operation Rainbow Canada, which has been sending teams of surgeons throughout the world to provide free reconstructive surgery and related health care for cleft lip and cleft palate deformities to needy children and young adults in developing countries.
